Knightsbridge Custom Homebuilders began with a simple focus: designing and building distinctive homes in Calgary and the surrounding area.
More than three decades later, our portfolio includes custom residences, estate homes, inner-city infills, villas, townhomes, high-rise developments and innovative residential projects across Alberta.
Experience Beyond Custom Homes
Over more than three decades, Knightsbridge has also played a role in significant residential developments throughout Calgary and Alberta, from luxury villas and condominium communities to transit-oriented developments and affordable housing.
That experience includes Calgary’s first Transit Oriented Development, Western Canada’s first purpose-built no-car condominium, and major community housing projects in Banff.
These projects reflect the same approach Knightsbridge brings to every build: thoughtful planning, intelligent use of the site and a focus on creating places that work for the people who live there.
Our History
Built on Residential Experience
Knightsbridge began in 1992 as a small housing company primarily focused on inner-city infill homes and country residential estate homes in acreage communities surrounding Calgary.
In the late 1990s, Knightsbridge participated in a joint venture with a Japanese group to design and build 12 infill homes in Kyoto, Japan as a model for future infill growth in the city.
In the years that followed, Knightsbridge became a showhome builder in several upscale Calgary-area communities, including Heritage Pointe, Elbow Valley, Aspen Estates, Sterling Springs Estates, Morning Vista Estates and Spring Glen View Estates.
That foundation in custom residential construction eventually expanded into larger and increasingly complex residential developments.
Looking Forward
Knightsbridge has continued to explore new approaches to residential construction and sustainability.
The Ikaros Showhome was designed as a net-zero home in terms of electrical consumption, generating more than 12,000 kWh of electricity annually.
Our experience continues to span custom homes, infill development, country residential properties and larger residential projects.
Through all of it, the focus remains the same: thoughtful design, intelligent construction and creating places people want to live.
